October Content Ideas for Small Businesses

The leaves are changing color, the air is getting cooler, and pumpkin spice everything is back on store shelves. That can mean only one thing: October is here! And with a new month comes new opportunities for content creation. If you're a small business owner who's looking for some fresh content ideas, you've come to the right place. Here are a few thought starters to get your creative juices flowing this October.

1. National Coffee Day (October 1st) -

Who doesn’t love coffee?! This is a fun day to share a Starbucks gift card on social media to show some customer appreciation. Alternatively, you could post about your favorite fall coffee recipes and poll people on theirs!

2. Boss's Day (October 16th) -

Since it falls on a Thursday this year, why not do a social media takeover? Let your boss take over your company's Instagram account or Twitter account for the day and share what it's like to be in charge. Bonus points if you can get them to do a fun Q&A with your followers!

3. Halloween (October 31st) -

There are so many possibilities when it comes to Halloween-themed content! You could do a post about your company's best Halloween costumes, share some spooky (but safe) DIY Halloween decoration ideas, or even host a virtual costume party or contest for your employees and/or customers. No matter what you decide to do, make sure it's something that will Engage your audience and get them excited about your brand.

4. Breast Cancer Awareness Month β€”

October is also National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. You could use this as an opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of breast cancer screenings and early detection, as well as raise money for breast cancer research and encourage others to donate. If you have any personal stories about how breast cancer has affected you or someone you know, feel free to share them as well.

There are endless possibilities when it comes to creating content for your small business website or blog. By thinking outside the box and getting creative, you can come up with content that will appeal to your target audience and help grow your business. So what are you waiting for? Get brainstorming!
